Munya warned after joining Raila's team

Barely hours after announcing that PNU had joined NASA, ex-Meru Governor Peter Munya has been warned of committing political suicide after the move.

On Monday, Munya stated that he could not support Jubilee accusing the ruling party of stealing his votes."I cannot join hands with people, Jubilee, who stole my votes just as they stole for Raila Odinga,” he affirmed.

In a rejoinder, Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi has lashed out at Munya adding that he had dug his own political grave. The incumbent, who is an ardent supporter of President Uhuru Kenyatta, noted that Munya had been working with NASA all along and what he did was just but a confirmation. "We are not surprised Munya has joined NASA today. Even during the campaigns, we told Meru people he was secretly in NASA. He was the sixth principal after former Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto," Kiraitu said. Murungi warned the out-going Governor that Meru was a Jubilee zone adding that his followers would now abandon him."He knew backing Raila Odinga will be suicidal to him but by doing so today he has committed political suicide. No people of Meru are going to support him now and in the future,"  he affirmed.

Munya was welcomed to NASA brigade led by Raila Odinga and will now be the sixth principal in the coalition. The Opposition leader maintained that he shared same ideologies on matters devolution with the former Governor.
