On Monday night, angry students at the University of Nairobi (UoN) rioted at the institution.

The students were protesting against the police brutality witnessed against them last week when they demanded for the release of their former student leader and now Embakasi East MP Babu Owino.

The enraged students chanted "Mbithi Must Go!" as they lit bonfires during the demos.
