Citizen TV Reporter Stephen Letto who was injured during the police brutality on Journalists at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport has narrated the horrific ordeal after being discharged from Hospital.
“It was a terrible encounter meeting with police officers, who were really determine to injure, harass and destroy equipment that we used in covering Miguna Miguna’s return since 2:30pm on ,Monday” said Stephen Letto.
He added that ; “They attacked journalists at 11pm. They just charged at us, and started beating us up. On my side, one tried to beat me up, and I blocked his punch using my hand. I fell down, and instead of helping me to get to a safer place, they started kicking me with their boots, and even running over me as they went for other journalists. Luckily, I managed to secure my release from them. . I am now doing fine. I received medication at an airport hospital, and was discharged at 2am Tuesday"
This comes hours after KTN’s Sophia Wanuna also revealed that she was doing fine despite being roughed up by Police officers at JKIA.

Sophia and her cameraman Boni urged the cops to do their work and let them do theirs as journalists, the commanding officer tried to block the camera before sending out a warning.
“I will deal with you perpendicularly!” He warned as he left to bundle Miguna to the plane.
This incidence between Sophia and the police led to Kenyans lauding her as brave.
