Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz has landed a major deal with the 2018 FIFA World Cup that will be held in Russia.
In the deal, Diamond will perform in the opening ceremony of the world football tournament on 14 June alongside American singer Jason Derulo who created the world cup anthem and other top African artistes.
Diamond Platnumz shared the news of the deal through a post on his social media pages but did not give much details of it. From the caption that accompanied his post however, one would feel his excitement.
This comes just days after the Bongo sensational was given a go ahead for his much awaited Wasafi TV and Radio stations to begin operations by the government of Tanzania.
The FIFA World Cup which is undoubtedly the biggest sports event in the world will be played from 14 June to 15 July 2018 in Russia, with 32 countries set to play. In the 32 Countries, Africa will be represented by five countries which include; Egypt, Morocco, Senegal, Nigeria and Tunisia.
