Has Nimrod Taabu quit NTV?

Following the recent exodus of senior news anchors and reporters from the Nation Media Group (NMG)’s NTV, senior Swahili anchor and reporter Nimrod Taabu is also reported to have called it quits.

According to Business Today, Taabu has already handed in his resignation letter and is headed to the Royal Media Services’ (RMS) Citizen TV.

Reports indicate that Nimrod Taabu will take up the position of Kanze Dena who left the S. K. Macharia owned media house to become State House Deputy Spokesperson.

Poached

Taabu becomes the latest one to be poached from the Aga Khan-owned TV station to join Citizen TV after Rashid Abdalla.

Others who were left NTV for Citizen include; Linus Kaikai who is now the Director, Startegy and Innovation, Jamilla Mohammed who is Managing Editor Swahili, Weekend anchor Victoria Rubadiri and Senior Reporter Enock Sickolia.

KTN’s Yvonne Okwara and Joe Ageyo also left KTN and is currently the Editorial Director at the RMS.
