Popular singer Cecilia Wairimu better known as Amani has revealed that she has been secretly married to her Nigerian fiancé for a while now.

Speaking during an interview with a local daily, Ms. Amani stated that though the public has been waiting for a wedding, she had already tied the knot with a Mr. Chinasa Udeala.

"It’s a done deal, I’m already married. I’m someone’s wife now. I know many are waiting to see a wedding but I’m one very private person. That’s why you don’t see me doing interviews in my house or other intrusive stuff like that," she said.

Amani describes her husband as a loving, caring and understanding man, who makes her feel like a superwoman.

She also opened up about her engagement which took place last year.

Unknown to many is that the singer's engagement happened during a random dinner where Udeala finally asked for her hand in marriage.

"On a day that I didn’t expect it, he took me out for a random dinner date and while at it, just the two of us, he went down on his knees and popped the question with this beautiful ring," she said.

The Bad boy hitmaker highlighted that she has not been making music for a while now in order to focus on her business and family.

"Honestly, he doesn’t have a problem with me doing music. But I got to a point that I also felt that other than concentrating on my business, I needed time too for family. I needed to create enough time too for him," she remarked.

Amani dismissed rumors that she was expecting a baby stating: "No, I’m still not, but honestly, I feel it’s time I had a baby. I believe it’s the right time to get one and we are working on that".
