Citizen TV Boss elected to influential position

Citizen TV boss Wachira Waruru has been elected to an influential position in the Media Owners Association (MOA).

Waruru who is the Royal Media Services (RMS) Managing Director has been elected the new chairman of the Media Owners Association, where he will replace Hanningtone Gaya who has been chairman for the past three years.

Others elected to serve alongside him include; Nation Media Group’s Tom Mshindi as vice chairman, Standard Group’s Orlando Lyomu will be the new secretary while Mediamax’s Ian Fernandes and Radio Africa’s Agnes Kalekye will serve as the new treasurer and organizing secretary.

Wachira Waruru is also the current chairman of the organizing committee for the Presidential Debate.
