Egerton University murder

A romantic relationship in Egerton University turned ugly when a fourth-year student was stabbed to death by her boyfriend after she terminated her relationship with him.

Cynthia Chelegat, 22, an Agriculture major at the Njoro main campus, is said to have been in her house when her boyfriend stormed in and allegedly stabbed her to death.

According to Chelagat’s roommate, she was preparing to leave for school when the incident occurred.

It is alleged that the man was afraid his girlfriend was about to leave him for another man. His efforts to try and convince her stay were futile.
