It always amazes me how well women bounce back after giving birth.
Like, how miraculous is the female body? To carry a living being for nine months, persevere through weird food cravings, swollen legs, morning sickness and such, gain weight get loads of stretch marks and finally push a little human and snap back to the fierce queen you were. That’s quite something if you ask me.
The only secret to getting back your body after the baby weight gain is working out. Unless you’re the Kardashians then you can speak to a surgeon #Shade. You gotta run and sweat it all out, eat healthy and drink lots of water. But, give yourself time, enjoy being a new mom, breast feed, create that mother-child bond with your little one. Don’t be too hard on yourself, the weight will go with time, just appreciate motherhood.
Speaking of enjoying being a mom, do remember to take a photo shoot to reminisce on your pregnancy days. Matter of fact, here’s a genius idea. Why don’t you have a before and after shoot and just see how far you’ve come? Have one of when you’re heavily pregnant then have another once you’ve given birth and merge them to make an adorable before and after portrait that you can frame in your room or baby’s room.
It’s super adorable especially if you recreate the same photo, meaning, you’re wearing a similar outfit in both shoots and same location. Plus, your child can recreate the same, once they're grown!
