At least 33 drunk High School students have been arrested in Chuka, Tharaka Nithi County, with rolls of bhang.
The 33 drunk students were travelling home after closing school.
The speeding vehicle belonging to Huruma Minibus Sacco passed a police roadblock along the Nairobi-Chuka Highway after efforts to stop the driver failed.
Meru South OCPD Sayia Baraza said the minibus was intercepted at Kangoro Market at the border of Tharaka-Nithi and Embu Counties after a chase down.
They discovered the unruly students with a roll of bhang and two cans of alcohol on the floor of the minibus that reportedly belongs to Huruma Sacco in Nairobi.

Nine of the students from Karamugu Girls’ High and 24 from Ikuu Boys’ High were escorted to Chuka Police Station alongside the driver and his conductor.
However, after consultation with the Education Ministry officials, the students were released to their respective principals.
