What Kenyans think about the beautiful woman who 'supplied air' to NYS

She walked away with Sh59 million

Kenyans spent the better part of Thursday discussing a woman roped into the alleged Sh9 billion corruption scandal at the National Youth Service (NYS).

The debate sparked following a frontpage story on the Daily Nation titled: IT’s Kabura Season 2.

The article brought to light details of one, Ann Wambere Wanjiku Ngirita, who purportedly supplied nothing to NYS but walked home with a whopping Sh59 million.

The car dealer also revealed that he is currently single, but will introduce a new lady once he resolves the issues surrounding his business.

However, a section of the public was not convinced that Ms. Ngirita was the main actor in this multi-billion scandal that is bigger than the first one which took place during the tenure of Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru at the Devolution and Planning Ministry.

Many expressed belief that the 30-year-old was being used as a decoy to protect high-ranking officials involved in the saga. Like the infamous hairdresser - Josephine Kabura - some indicated that Ngirita was just a scapegoat.

Others opined that since Ngirita had been identified she should be used to identify other culprits.

At the same time a section noted that in the typical Kenyan style, nobody will be punished for the high-end theft at the Service.
