Mutahi Ngunyi comes to Jimi Wanjigi's defence

The siege at Wanjigi's home lasted for 72 hours

Controversial Political Analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has come to the rescue of city billionaire Jimi Wanjigi after police raided his Home in Muthaiga.

Through his Twitter Handle, Ngunyi blasted police officers for using excess force in the effort to arrest the billionaire.

According to the political analyst it was wrong for the police to attack Wanjigi’s home especially in the presence of his wife and Children.

He added that if the police want to raid a home, they must ensure that the battle does not involve innocent people.

“Attacking Jimmy Wanjigi HOME of YOUNG children is WRONG. We MUST not take our CHILDREN and WOMEN to WAR. If we FIGHT, it Must be MEN ONLY!” Reads Mutahi Ngunyi’s tweet.

The business mogul who is a key financier of NASA has been under siege since Monday when his alleged home in Malindi was raided and a cache of firearms recovered.

The raid forced NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga to spend a night at Wanjigi’s home in an effort to intervene.

On Wednesday morning the billionaire resurfaced minutes after Recce squad officers left his palatial home in Muthaiga.

He reiterated that he was innocent and the gun charges were a fabrication over his ties to the Opposition.
