Saboti MP Caleb Amisi is a man counting his blessings after luck saved him from the ill-fated Fly Sax plane that crashed on Tuesday evening.

The youthful lawmaker changed flights and travelled on another flight by a different airline.

The simple change of itinerary saved Amisi from the fate of the crashed plane whose eight passengers and two pilots are yet to be rescued.

Meanwhile, the rescue mission for the wreckage of the plane and its survivors has been cancelled for the second time due to bad weather.

The operation has been hampered by a combination of bad luck and confusion.

The Nation on Wednesday reported that by 2pm, the rescue operations was yet to start as the responsible officials were still holed up in meetings.

A Kenya Red Cross vehicle dispatched for the rescue mission was also involved in an accident while heading for the response operation.
