Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has been arrested.

Owino was arrested outside parliament on Friday afternoon outside parliament buildings by Flying Squad Officers.

He was arrested for questioning over claims of assault on security guards in Westlands, Nairobi.

Earlier this week, the MP was forced to open up after being controversially linked to a shameful video at a popular city club.

In the clip widely shared on social media, the MP along with several men allegedly said to be his bodyguards are seen assaulting the parking attendant of the Fortis Towers which houses the popular club Privee in Westlands, Nairobi.

In November last year, Owino was among NASA leaders who were taken into custody by police officers along Ngong Road as they were headed to Kibra for a NASA rally.
