Gideon Moi given 1-month Ultimatum

The letter was issued on Tuesday

Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has been given one month to vacate his office at the Baringo County Headquarters.

In the letter signed by Baringo County Assembly Clerk Joseph Koech, the decision was made by the Assembly’s Service Board due to ongoing renovations.

The letter noted that the contractor proposed demolition of the Speaker’s office for refurbishment adding that they would need more space.

“I write to convey the Assembly Service Board decision that you be served with the above notice. This is due to the ongoing construction within the Assembly and due to the limited space available and arising from a letter from the contractor dated 18 May 2018 informing us that they would like to demolish the current Speaker’s Office as per the contract. The Hon. Speaker therefore has to be accommodated and hence the reason for this notice,” read the letter addressed to the Office of the Senator.
