Gunshots rent the air as Ababu, Wanjala clash

Gunshots rent the air as Foreign Affairs Chief Administrative Secretary Ababu Namwamba clashed with his political nemesis and current Budalangi Member of Parliament Raphael Wanjala.

The two leaders engaged in a near fist fight as they accompanied Transport CAS Dr. Chris Obure for a tour of Sigiri Bridge.

Budalangi MP Raphael Wanjala accused Ababu of causing interference saying that he never showed up to any of his development projects when Ababu served as area MP for two terms.

“When he was MP for 10 years I never went to any of his development projects, we could only possibly meet in funerals. I also ask him now that I have the mandate to perform, to deliver to the people of Budalangi,” he said.

Ababu on his side downplayed Wanjala’s sentiments saying that he was now playing international politics and he would not stoop as low as engaging in village issues.

“You cannot reduce me to start playing small politics when I’m playing politics in Washington D.C. I’m now dealing with global issues,” said Ababu Namwamba.

This is not the first time the two political rivals are engaging in a fight.
