Jubilee MP Surprise request on Raila after US trip

The outspoken Legislator has given his word

Cherangany Member of Parliament Joshua Kutuny and an affiliated of Jubilee Party has called upon the government to enhance security of NASA leader Raila Odinga upon his return from his USA trip on Thursday.

Appearing on KTN, the legislator said the Former Prime Minister should be given enough escort when he jets back in the country from US.

He added that, the issue of police saying that they will not offer security to the NASA leader should not arise like it did on Sunday when the coalition held a rally at the Jacaranda grounds, Nairobi.

“I want to urge the police, when Baba will be arriving he should be given enough security, he should be given proper escort all the way to where they will be having the rally. The issue of police saying they will not allow them Uhuru Park should not arise….they should be given that opportunity, let them ventilate,” said Kuttuny.

Raila Odinga is in the US for a week-long trip where he has engaged policy makers over the political situation in Kenya.

On a much publicized speech at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies, Washington, on Thursday, Odinga called for the west to relook its support to Uhuru Kenyatta’s government.

He called for an interim government and dialogue to end what he called an onslaught on democracy, inclusivity and justice in Kenya.

Odinga also spoke to the International Republican Institute and met Congressional Committee officials.
