Divisions are said to have rocked the Jubilee party after a plot by a section of its members to send home President Uhuru Kenyatta’s recently appointed Cabinet Secretary.

This comes after MPs allied to DP William Ruto pushed to have the Health Cabinet Secretary Sicily Kariuki impeached for suspending the Kenyatta National Hospital Chief Executive Lily Koros after a surgery mix-up that saw the wrong patient undergo brain surgery.

According to the Sunday Nation, there are renewed cracks along the now defunct William Ruto led URP and President Uhuru’s TNA parties that could only be waiting for the right time to explode.

Reports also indicate that Members of Parliament allied to the Deputy President have suspicion that the vote-rich Central Kenya region may turn its back on them in the 2022 presidential election.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto have however reassured their supporters over time that they will work together beyond their current term, with President Uhuru promising to be Ruto’s campaign manager in the 2022 general election.
