Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has now requested to have an urgent private meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Musyoka made the request through an interview with the Sunday Standard where he also called for structured dialogue.

The NASA co-principal stated that his long break from Kenyan politics prepared him to united Kenyatta and his boss Raila Odinga.

He stated that he was the glue that was needed to unite the two rival politicians, adding that he would implore the President to agree to dialogue with the Opposition.

The former Vice President explained that he was uniquely qualified to lead the dialogue process because “he was away when his colleagues were not”.

“If they – Uhuru and Raila – cannot come together, I hope they will allow me to bring them together so that they can look at each other in the face. These are people who have worked together in the past,” Musyoka remarked.

The NASA deputy leader stated that if Kenyatta did not agree to a meeting, he would be forced to walk to the President and demand for a conversation on the grievances he has raised.

“If I do not get a word in the next few days, I may walk to the President myself and I hope this time round the media will come along,” he stated.

Despite their grievances of electoral justice and an inclusive government, Musyoka stated that NASA’s planned swearing in ceremony should be a last resort.
