Kenyan politician arrested for rape and brutal murder of his wife

Police in Kiambu have arrested and arraigned in Court the immediate former MCA for Riruta Ward Samwel Ndung’u for allegedly raping and killing his 21-year old wife.

According to the police, Lucy Njambi, from Karembu in Gatundu South succumbed to the injuries after being raped and soaked in acid on Wednesday night following a family dispute.

The ex-politician was arrested after police linked him to the brutal murder of his wife who passed on while receiving treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital.

Ndung’u will be remanded in police custody until Monday to allow police to conduct investigations into the brutally murder.

Police looking into the murder are also are probing claims that the couple had domestic quarrels before Njambi fled with her five-year-old son.

Before the brutal murder, Njambi was living in a rented apartment at Thindigwa, along Kiambu Road, where it’s reported her husband and three other people picked her and drove away with her in a saloon car.

She was later abandoned without clothes at an isolated location at Kamiti Corner in Ruiru.

According to witnesses, Njambi was still speaking when she was rescued by Good Samaritans and taken to Kiambu Hospital and later transferred to Kenyatta.

Her uncle, Peter Ndung’u, revealed that Njambi had suffered 70 per cent burns.
