Miguna’s first tweet after being nominated as Nairobi Deputy Governor

Miguna Miguna, a lover of Twitter, has tweeted for the first time since his nomination to the post of Nairobi Deputy Governor by Governor Mike Sonko.

In an encrypted message, the fiery lawyer, in a tweet which accompanied a photo in which he was commissioning an oath to Raila Odinga, told his supporters “not to be distracted”.

"The fundamental principle is that no battle, combat, or skirmish is to be fought unless it will be won." - Che Guevara. Patriots, comrades and friends of Kenya: Just like on January 30th, 2018, I and we are FOCUSED like a laser beam. No distractions. No sideshows. Viva!” Miguna tweeted.

He added: "Mr. and I have not spoken, met or communicated since our gubernatorial debate in July 2017. I will not comment on malicious information, material or cheap propaganda circulating in the social media. Thank you."

Earlier on Thursday, Miguna had told a local TV station that he was not aware of anything that was going on in regard to the “alleged nomination by Sonko” but outrightly failed to agree or disagree with the nomination.

“Good afternoon? I have no idea what nearly everyone seems to be talking about. It’s a malicious distraction. That’s all I am saying!” said Miguna.
