The controversial Nairobi Business Community has issued a new statement even as Nasa supporters enter the third week of anti-IEBC demos.
Led by Gatundu South lawmaker Moses Kuria, the Nairobi Business Community has announced that it will be having daily meetings, whose agenda remain scanty, outside the IEBC headquarters at Anniversary Towers.
“We will carry out daily meetings with our members starting from tomorrow [Monday] to map out the risks and threats and discuss the same with the security agencies,” group Patron Moses Kuria posted on Facebook.
He added: “This outreach program will start tomorrow at 1pm outside Anniversary Towers.”
Mr Kuria’s ‘Nairobi Business Community’ has raised eyebrows amongst the Nasa principals in the recent past, many principals in the Raila Odinga led camp associating it with outlawed Mungiki sect.
On Friday, the group whose origin remains unknown, clashed with NASA supporters outside anniversary towers compelling police to lob teargas to disperse them.
The Nairobi Business Community has been vibrant since the annulment of President Kenyatta's victory by the Supreme Court.
