Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has unveiled a short list of 22 prominent personalities as possible replacements for his ex-deputy governor Polycarp Igathe.
Surprisingly, Igathe himself is on the list for the vacant Nairobi deputy governor post.
Sonko on Sunday night took to his social media pages to ask Nairobians for advice on who among the 22 individuals he listed is the best candidate to occupy the powerful and influential deputy governor's position.
“Great people of Nairobi, some say politics is about numbers. This FB page of mine has over 1,300,000 fans out of which 925,892 are Nairobians.I believe it is you the great people and God who have the powers of nominating leaders. Hence hebu munisaidie hapa (help me here) whom do you think deserves to be my Deputy Governor?” Sonko asked.

Igathe resignation
Igathe resigned from his post in January after he claimed that he has failed to earn the trust of Governor Mike Sonko to enable him work at the county.

Topping the list of potential Nairobi Deputy Governor is Citizen TV News Anchor Anne Kiguta and the self -proclaimed NRM-General whom Sonko trounced in last year's gubernatorial elections.
