Kandara MP Alice Wahome has been summoned by the police for questioning over the alleged assault of a returning officer last week.
The MP has been ordered to appear before the Kandara DCIO on Monday for further investigations.
Already the returning officer Mr. Martin Malonza has recorded a statement at the Kandara police station following the controversial incident.

The Kandara MP was caught on camera harassing Malonza at Ng’araria Girls Secondary School, demanding to sign Form 34B as Jubilee Party’s chief agent in the area.
Malonza said the MP roughed him up and blocked him from leaving just a few meters from the center.
However, when contacted, the legislator denied there was commotion, saying she merely wanted to verify the results of Jubilee's candidate Uhuru Kenyatta.
Already, the IEBC has called for Wahome to be prosecuted for committing an electoral offence and intimidation of election officials.
In a letter sent to newsrooms, IEBC wrote: “We take great exception to the manner in which MP Alice Wahome harassed an IEBC official performing his duties. Such is an electoral offence that must be punished.”
Director of Public Prosecutions Dr Keriako Tobiko asked the Inspector General of Police Jospeh Boinnet to investigate the Jubilee legislator.
