Inside PS Lilian Omollo's luxurious stay at hospital "jail"

Fresh details have emerged on the luxurious life of Public Service PS Lilian Omollo inside the Kenyatta National Hospitals (KNH) private wing.

According to the Nation, Omollo's life in state custody has been nothing short of luxury that is a far cry from the deplorable conditions subjected to her fellow suspects who are at the Lang'ata Women's Prison and at Industrial Area Remand.

For breakfast, the embattled PS  is offered fish fingers and a choice of tea or cocoa, brown or white bread with margarine, jam, marmalade, wimbi porridge, and cereals.

The lunch menu has beef stew, vegetable rice, chapati and a fruit platter.

Buttered rice with fried fish, washed down with fruit juice, is served for dinner. Also on the menu is ugali balls, bean stew, and vegetables.

The PS has been staying at KNH's private wing since last week on Tuesday when she fainted shortly after arriving at Lang'ata Women's hospital.

A Nation reporter who visited KNH quoted medical staff who claimed that on the night she was wheeled in, they conducted a battery of tests and found her to be in good health.

She has continued to stay in hospital while she complains of stomach pains.

While as the magistrate has denied bail for her and her fellow suspects, the VIP room located on the 10th floor of KNH will continue to soothe her with its majestic views of the Nairobi National Park.
