Raila gives 2 special instructions on how his swearing in will be

National Super Alliance (NASA) leader has given instructions to his supporters on what to carry to his swearing in on 30January.

Addressing thousands of his supporters who turned up for a People’s Assembly meeting in Homabay, the opposition chief asked his supporters to carry white handkerchiefs to the event.

Odinga maintained that the event would be a peaceful one and asked his supporters to turn up in large numbers for the event which he termed “sherehe ya kingwana ya kuapisha rais wetu.”

The former premier also stated that on the big day, he would join his supporters in a procession on foot, adding that the event would be the biggest peaceful demonstration ever held in the republic of Kenya.

Plans to swear in Raila are in the final phase after efforts to broker dialogue and the opposition failed.

Speaking at the same event, NASA co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka stated that the window for dialogue has since been shut.

He further noted that with the day drawing by, any dialogue would be held in crisis after the 30 January swearing in event.

A showdown is looming between the opposition supporters and the police after the Attorney General declared the event an act of treason with the police adding that they would take action against those involved in the activity.

Meanwhile the venue for the event is still controversial.

While NASA has repeatedly stated that the event would be held at Uhuru Park ground, Nairobi County government recently announced that the park is closed for renovation.
