The United States government has briefed ODM leader Raila Odinga on the upcoming visit by former President Barack Obama.
the US Ambassador to Kenya Bob Godec on Friday met Odinga at his Capitol Hill offices where they discussed the planned visit by the former US President.
"The US Ambassador to Kenya, @BobGodec called on me at Capitol Hill sq. We discussed the efforts to restore peace in South Sudan, developments in the Building Bridges Initiative and the upcoming visit by former President @BarackObama," the former Prime Minister tweeted.
President Obama will visit Kenya on July 16th where he is expected to hold talks with various local leaders, before proceeding to Kisumu for a charity event.
Despite the media hype on Obama's planned visit, there is little information on the exact details of the visit that will reportedly last a day.
