Opposition Co-Principal Kalonzo Musyoka’s team has broken its silence after Raila Odinga’s swearing in that happened Tuesday afternoon at Uhuru Park.
In a tweet sent through his party Wiper Democratic Movement’s official account, Wiper wished President Raila Amollo Odinga God’s blessings in his new duties.
“God Bless President RAILA Amollo Odinga, God Bless Kenya,” said their message.
This comes even as the National Super Alliance deputy leader Kalonzo Musyoka conspicuously missed during Raila Odinga's swearing in.
Other co-principals Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi were also missing from the event that saw Raila’s ODM deputy party leader and Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho introduce him.
The former Prime Minister then rose to the podium and quickly read out the oath as the People's President.
He then assured the NASA loyalists that his number two was with them, but would be sworn in at a later date as well as explain what made him not to show up at the highly anticipated swearing in ceremony.
