Radio guru Alex Mwakideu Quits Radio Maisha

On to the next step

Celebrated Radio presenter Alex Mwakideu has quit the Standard Media Group-owned station Radio Maisha.

The Morning show host announced his exit through his social media pages immediately after his show “Maisha Asubuhi”.

Mwakideu has been hosting the morning show alongside Radio comedian Captain Otoyo.

“Kilicho na mwanzo HAKIKOSI mwisho. It's been 8 AWESOME YEARS and I will miss Radio Maisha. I will always remember kuanzia the first day when we OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED this station during my Show... It's been a good ride!!! Let me say a HUGE AHSANTE to the entire team of Radio Maisha and The Standard Media Group... All the presenters I've worked with Kuanzia kwa Esther Ingolo, Mshamba, Jalas, Nick Odhiambo and now Captain Otos.... You guys are simply the Best!!! To the rest of the Team... I wish you all the best and May God Bless you all abundantly! I will miss you all so so much. Aaaaah wacheni sasa nikalewe kisha nilie kisha.... Hata sijui” shared Alex Mwakideu.

Radio Maisha’s breakfast show is among the most listened to radio programmes in the country.

Before the arrival of Otoyo, Mwakideu used to host the show with Nick Odhiambo (Formerly of Classic FM) who replaced Comedian Jalang’o after he was poached by Royal media’s Hot 96 FM.
