The unity deal struck between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga gained momentum on Thursday after the former Prime Minister met the 14-member team advisors of the Building Bridges Initiative.
Odinga hosted the team led by the joint secretaries of the of the Initiative Ambassador Martin Kimani and Mr. Paul Mwangi to familiarization lunch at his Capitol Hill offices in Nairobi.
The NASA leader addressed the team on the expectations him and President Kenyatta had of them.
"I was glad to grace the function and also had a chance to speak one on one with the individual team members and later also addressed them on the expectations that I together with His Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta have for the team as they address the nine point agenda of the Memorandum of Understanding," Odinga tweeted.

The team is expected to proceed for a retreat in the coming days to agree on a work plan and a program for their activities as they await their official inauguration.
The members of the team include Senators Amos Wako (Busia) and Yusuf Haji (Garissa), Dr Adams Oloo, Ms Agnes Kavindu, Ms Florence Omose, Prof Saeed Mwanguni, Mzee James Matundura, Major (rtd) John Seii, Bishop Lawi Imathiu, Ms Maison Leshomo, Mr Morompo ole Ronkai, Bishop Peter Njenga, Ms Rose Moseu and Zecheus Okoth.
