Raila and Kalonzo abandoned me after losing to Joho - Omar

Ex-Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar has disclosed that NASA principals Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka abandoned him after losing to Hassan Joho in the gubernatorial race.

Addressing a rally on Sunday during President Uhuru Kenyatta's visit to Mombasa, Omar divulged that his decision to dump NASA for Jubilee was influenced by Odinga and Kalonzo who never cared about him after the loss.

The former wiper secretary General said that none of the two principals even checked on him except for DP William Ruto who called three days later after the August 8 election to encourage him."After my loss to Joho in the Mombasa gubernatorial race, no NASA principal called to check on me or even encourage me."But on August 11, DP Ruto called me. He encouraged me to take positives from the loss. He made me think about who my true friends are," Omar told a charged crowd on Sunday.The ex-senator, who has now dumped NASA for Jubilee, also vowed to defend IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba, with the Opposition pushing for his exit from the electoral body.

The Opposition has been holding anti-IEBC demos every Monday and Friday to mount pressure on Chiloba to resign.Omar was received by the President and his deputy and will be part of the Jubilee team campaigning for the Head of State in coast.
