Kalonzo and Mudavadi's message after missing Raila's swearing-in

NASA Principals Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula have sent a message to their supporters hours after they missed Raila Odingas swearing-in at Uhuru Park.

In a statement signed by the three, the principals said they were unable to assemble today as earlier planned due to circumstances beyond their comprehension and control.

"We agreed to meet again this morning. However, due to circumstances beyond our comprehension and control, the four of us did not assemble as planned. Nonetheless, the NASA Summit (Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, H. E. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, Hon. Musalia Mudavadi and Hon. Moses Wetang’ula) remains strong and united. The Summit will meet within two days, to address the immense challenges facing this country. We also rededicate ourselves to continued pursuit of our reform agenda for Kenya," the statement read.

The principals said that they had met in Monday where they revisited the controversial Election of 08 August 2018, which was nullified by the Supreme Court, as well as the boycotted election of 26 October 2017 and the reform agenda, in particular electoral justice, among other important issues.

The absence by the three principals raised eyebrows as Odinga took the oath flanked by National Resistance Movement self-proclaimed general Miguna Miguna, Ruaraka MP TJ Kajwang, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and Siaya Senator James Orengo before thousands at Uhuru Park.

However, Odinga assured supporters that all the principals are still in NASA saying that Musyoka would be sworn-in at a later date and would give the explanation behind his absence at another time.
