Kenyans have been encouraged to send their Curriculum Vitae (CVs) for consideration in shadow cabinet positions.
The announcement was made by former Presidential candidate Ekuru Aukot who is also the leader of the Thirdway Alliance.
Aukot, who is also the self-appointed Opposition Leader, stated that the deadline for application is on January 30.
The shadow cabinet positions will not enjoy any state power but will offer alternative solutions to the ones offered by President Uhuru Kenyatta’s cabinet secretaries.
"Thirdway Alliance Kenya is currently going through CVs of Kenyans seeking to be considered in its shadow cabinet. All interested Kenyans are advised to send their CVs to leader@thirdwaykenya.org before or on January 30, 2017. ," the former presidential candidate stated.
Aukot’s announcement came at a time when President Kenyatta is crafting his full cabinet, in consultation with his deputy William Ruto.
On Friday, Kenyatta retained six cabinet secretaries and nominated three others who were not immediately accorded portfolios.
