“I was drugged” Miguna speaks after deported to Dubai

Canadian-based lawyer Miguna Miguna has spoken for the first time after landing in Dubai where the Government of Kenya "forcefully" deported him.

Mr Miguna said that he woke up in Dubai after spending more than 72 hours locked up at a tiny, filthy toilet at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

The self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) General divulged that he was currently sick and needed medical attention.

“I woke up in Dubai and the despots are here insisting that I must travel on to London. I’m sick. I need medical treatment.

“A Mr. Njihia is threatening me. I need urgent help here. I want to take a flight only to Nairobi. Nowhere else! I’m sick. My ribs and body is hurting all over. This is a travesty of justice!” he said.

Speaking during a TV interview Mr Miguna lawyer Cliff Ombeta said that his client had been taken to the hospital by the Canadian High Commission officials.

"Miguna was deported to Dubai. The Canadian High Commission officials have taken him for treatment as he was drugged. He was injected through his rib and wrist," Mr Ombeta said.
