Miguna Refuses to be Deported to Dubai

Self-declared National Resistance Movement (NRM) General Miguna Miguna has refused to board an Emirates flight he was bundled into on Monday night.

A battalion of police officers forced Mr Miguna into the flight in a bid to deport him to Dubai.

Police officer attempted to forcefully eject the Canadian-based lawyer from the country after failing to show his Canadian passport.

According to Immigration officers, Miguna was an undocumented visitor hence could not be allowed into the country,

Speaking at the scene Siaya Senator James Orengo said that Miguna was dragged away by over 40 an uniformed officers.

"He is on an Emirates flight, and the reason they are giving is that he is undocumented," he said.

Journalist Jeff Koinange who was on the flight divulged that Miguna was standing at the plane's door and restricting it from flying.

From videos taken by Koinange, Miguna's suit appeared torn following the fight he had with the police officers.

After a long standoff the plane closed its door without Miguna onboard.
