What the Government has done to Kalonzo and Wanjigi days after Raila-Uhuru unity deal

The government has acted swiftly barely 3 days after the unity deal between Uhuru and Raila

The government on Monday restored the security of all NASA leaders including Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka barely three days after President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga agreed on a unity deal to drive the the country forward.

Passports also belonging to NASA leaders that had been confiscated by the government will also be returned immediately in a move seen as reconciliatory gesture by the state to foster unity with the opposition.

Firearm cases

The illegal firearm custody cases levelled against businessman Jimi Wanjigi and his father Maina Wanjigi will also be withdrawn as part of the new move by the government.

National Assembly Minority Leader John Mbadi and Minority Whip Junet Mohamed confirmed that their security details have been reinstated.

The NASA leaders cars have also been reassigned to them.

Last Friday, President Kenyatta and Odinga surprised Kenyans including those close to them after their meeting at Harambee House where they resolved to set aside their political differences for the sake of national unity and urged Kenyans to move forward together as a united people.
