Kanze Dena quits Citizen TV, gets top State House job

Celebrated Citizen TV news anchor Kanze Dena has been appointed to the Presidential Strategic Communications Unit (PSCU).

Dena will now serve as the deputy State House spokesperson as well the Deputy Head of PSCU which is currently headed by Manoah Esipisu.

According to the statement announcing her appointment, Dena will take leadership of the core communications teams, including digital, messaging, research, branding and press.

She has also been tasked to focus on the President's brand positioning, media relations and messaging with respect to the delivery the Big Four agenda.

Further, veteran journalist Munira Mohamed, who has served as PSCU's Director of Press has been promoted to the position of of Deputy Head, PSCU and Head of the Presidential Library.

The announcements were announced in a statement signed by State House Chief of Staff Nzioka Waita.

Mohamed will head the newly created Presidential library that aims at preserving the legacy of all the four Presidents.

"In order to safeguard and preserve the work and words of our nation's leaders, H.E. the President has approved the establishment of The Presidential Library, Museum and Exhibition Centre. The Library will initially focus on the legacies of Founding President H.E. Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, Second President H.E. Daniel Toroitich arap Moi and Third President H.E. Mwai Emilio Kibaki," Waita stated.
