Major Win for Jimi Wanjigi after Today’s Development

Controversial businessman and billionaire Jimi Wanjigi on Tuesday got a major reprieve after the High Court in Nairobi issued orders barring his arrest.

The orders were issued after billionaire’s wife, Nzisa Wanjigi , moved to court seeking to temporarily block the police from arresting her husband and searching their premises.

Nzisa had also sued Inspector General Joseph Boinett whom he wanted to be held personally liable for all the damages committed during the raid on their Malindi and Muthaiga homes.

The Police had obtained a search warrant that permitted them to access three premises associated with the controversial businessman.

The properties include the the posh Caramel Restaurant on ABC place, as well as Kwacha House in Parklands area.

The police had also indicated that they were looking for Jimi for purposes of interviewing him.

Video footage of the raid, seen by Pulselive.co.ke, showed officers breaking doors and walls in the palatial home with reports indicating that they were looking for the businessman in an underground banker.
