Action has been taken against a lorry driver who obstructed DP Ruto’s motorcade causing a security threat during his visit to Machakos County.
The Lorry driver identified has Shadrack Nzomo Musyoki has been fined Sh12, 000 by a Machakos Law Court after pleading guilty.
The driver was arraigned in Court on Wednesday and charged with obstruction and failing to obey verbal instructions contrary to section 53(1) as read with section 53(4) of the Traffic Act.

The incident happened on September 10, 2017, at Vata Junction along the Mombasa-Nairobi road in Machakos County.
Musyoka who was driving an Isuzu lorry registration number KCH 544B was accused of obstructing Ruto’s motorcade by stopping the middle of the road.
The suspect was ordered to pay the fine by senior Magistrate Yusuf Shikanda at the Machakos law Court.
Dp Ruto under the Jubilee Party umbrella has been doing a series of campaigns across the country after the Supreme Court nullified their victory in the August General Election.
