A bus plying on the Githurai route has found itself on the wrong side of the law after it was reported that a tout pushed a Nairobi Institute of Business Studies (NIBS) student out of the moving vehicle.
The student, who has only been identified as Doreen, was reportedly shoved out of the Zamzam bus at Safari Park hotel stage. She was rushed to Neema hospital where she succumbed to the injuries.
The story was posted on Facebook by one Peter Pekat, who was requesting witnesses of the alleged brutality to record a statement with the police.
"Why why-why ZamZam??Githurai buses...Justice for Doreen!!She was pushed from a moving bus at safari park hotel...She died while I was rushing her to Neema hospital.If you were a passenger kindly come to Kasarani police station to record a statement..or inbox me...She was a Student at Nibs college...Makanga wenye walifanya hivi wote wametoroka... kindly help by sharing.

The National Transport Safety Authority got wind of the reports and vowed to take action against the Zamzam bus and its crew members.
"Case where a Passenger was pushed from a moving PSV Bus along Thika RD who later succumbed to her injuries has been brought to our attention by . We are working closely with to ensure the PSV crew are apprehended," NTSA posted.
Last year, a Githurai bus driver and conductor were sentenced to death for stripping and robbing a female passenger in December 2014.
