Capital FM presenter Amina Abdi Rabar will be the first East African to co-host the 7th edition of Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCAs) that is set to go down on 14th March at Eko Hotel in Lagos Nigeria.

Nigerian radio personality IK Osakioduwa will be the main host of the event.

AMVCAs are Africa’s most prestigious celebration of film and TV talent behind and in front of the cameras. It also represents the significant investment made by MultiChoice as a commitment to the development of skills and talent on the continent.

Ms Amina took to Instagram to express her excitement saying that she was humbled to be chosen as the co -host. She thanked DSTV and Maisha Magic East for the support and encouraged people to pursue their dreams.

Director of Africa Channels Wangi Mba- Uzoukwu, revealed that they had chosen Amina for her bubbly and cheerful personality and hoped that together with Osakioduwa they would make the show lively and unforgettable.

A few weeks ago, celebrated actor and Musician Pascal Tokodi was nominated s the best supporting actor in Movie /Tv Series for his role in the movie Disconnect.

Other actors in the same category include; Ramsey Noah (Living in bondage), Richard Mofe Damoijo (Rmd) (Seven), Nkem Owoh (God calling) and Remilekun ‘Reminisce’ ‘Safaru (King of Boys).
