Digital creator Diana Marua recently took to social media to reflect on her inspiring journey from uncertainty to success.

Sharing a heartfelt post, Diana revisited a picture from seven years ago during her pregnancy with her first child, Heaven Bahati, and compared it to a current photo that symbolises her growth and transformation.

Humbling pregnancy journey

Diana recalled the photo taken during her baby bump photoshoot when she weighed around 90 kilograms.

Snapchat reminded me of such a day like this, 7 years ago. I was about 90kgs here, creating memories of my baby bump photoshoot. A month later, I held my Baby, the cutest ever, Heaven- in my arms.

The picture showed her with a swollen face and features that made her look almost unrecognisable, with some jokingly comparing her to her former nanny, Irine Nekesa. However, she viewed the changes in her body as part of the beauty of motherhood.

Diana on being labeled 'shosh'

Diana acknowledged the challenges of facing public criticism, including remarks targeting her husband, Bahati. Some labelled her as 'elderly' and teased Bahati for 'settling for a Shosh'.

She now finds humour in those harsh comments.

Pregnancy humbled me. No job, no dreams, no direction. They said, Bahati settled for a ‘Shosh’. Come to think about it, y’all took it a little far, keyboard warriors.
