Jamaican star Shenseea who landed in Kenya ahead of her show on December 31 at Uhuru Gardens is a renowned global star who has captivated the world with her talent.
The excitement was palpable when she touched down at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) with her fans in Kenya looking forward to an experience of a lifetime.
Popularly known by her stage name Shenseea, the singer was born Chinsea Linda Lee on October 01, 1996.
Early life & education
Born and raised in a multicultural environment to an Afro-Jamaican mother and a Korean-born father, her style and career in music was shaped by the environment around her.
From a young age, Shenseea had a strong interest in music and entertainment and this reflected in her education.

Upon graduating from Mona High School, Shenseea joined Exed Community College where she majored in Entertainment Management.
Breakthrough in music
The multitalented star was out to take the game to the next level and her raw talent stood out, with Lemuel Samuel's Rockstar Music record label signing her.
She burst into the scene with a captivating remix the well-known Vybz Kartel's song "Loodi" and performing at Reggae Sumfest in 2015.
2016 saw Shenseea record her debut single “Jiggle Jiggle” dominated the airwaves and ushered in more opportunities.
By 2017, Shenseea was making waves internationally, gracing the main stage of Reggae Sumfest and collaborating with legendary singer Sean Paul on the single "Rolling". She joined the singer on his European tour.
Upward trajectory & taking the global scene by storm
Her upward trajectory continued with subsequent projects including featuring on Christina Aguilera's album Liberation, on the song "Right Moves." In 2018.
In 2019 she signed with Interscope Records and released the hip-hop/dancehall track "Blessed" featuring Tyga which took over the airwaves and spread like wildfire.
2020 was a busy year as she teamed up with Jamaican record producer Rvssian on a single titled "IDKW," which also featured American rappers Swae Lee and Young Thug.
Son landing a deal at the age of 4
Shenseea has sponsorship and endorsement deals with leading corporates and brands. Among the companies she has worked with in her illustrious career are Telecom, Firm Flow, Boom, and Pepsi-Cola JA.
She had her son, named Rajeiro Lee at the age of 19 who is also making money moves in his own right, having signed an endorsement deal for Babybop Kids Store at the age of four.

Her guest appearance alongside Roddy Ricch on Kanye West's 2021 song "Pure Souls," which entered the Billboard Hot 100 took her career to another level.
Shenseea earned her first Album of the Year nomination as a featured artist at the 64th Grammy Awards in 2022.
In 2022, she earned another nomination for Best International Act at the BET Awards.
Shenseea is known for her energetic performances, ability to create musical masterpieces by blending different genres and sharp lyrics that resonate with fans.
Her 2024 sophomore album, Never Gets Late Here was the latest addition to an illustrious career of a dynamic and influential modern dancehall music icon.
