Comedian Vincent Mwasia aka Chipukeezy has opened up on why he wore the same shirt for one year when he landed his first TV job.

In a series of posts, he shared on Instagram recounting how far he has come, the comedian said that it was the first shirt he wore on his first TV appearance and he wanted people to remember him whenever they saw the shirt.

Hii shati nilivaa for one year juu first time I appeared on TV I was wearing this shirt and I wanted everyone to remember me when they see this shirt,” wrote the comedian.

In other posts, Chipu shared details of how he started emceeing in road shows, a job he was introduced to by one of his longtime friends. He later joined a group that did secondary school set books acting before he joined Churchill show where he became a sensation and a darling to many.

From there, he got to join radio, Kiss 100, where he co-hosted the breakfast show alongside Caroline Mutoko for several years before leaving to do his own things.

He attributed his growth and success to God who has seen him now mentoring young and uprising comedians like Kartelo through his show “Chipukeezy Show”

Aside from comedy, Chipukeezy is a businessman and National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) director, a position he was appointed to by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
