The Tanzanian Government through the Minister of Information, Arts, Sports and Culture Harrison Mwakyembe, has issued a new promise to Diamond Platnumz after settling their differences.
The Minister added that Diamond will also be tasked to ensure that the Tanzanian Music Industry observe the rules put in place by producing songs that don't go against their culture.
"You have been going out of the country to represent us on your own, but this time round I want to assure you that I will ensure you get great support and a sendoff of its kinds. I know the event is very big and we have to ensure that your represent the country well as our ambassador” said Harrisson Mwaykembe
This comes after the singer held a closed door meeting in company of his three managers Sallam SK, Babu Tale and Mkubwa Fella and government officials and resolved to lift the ban imposed on his two songs Waka Waka and Halleluyah.
“The assistant Minister insisted that Musicians should follow the right procedures when releasing their songs to avoid clashing with the law in future. She added that all songs that had been banned will be played again on TV under the water shade period so that kids don’t watch them” reads Part of the statement
In the statement Diamond has agreed to work closely with the Assistant Minister Dr. Juliana Sonza after resolving their differences.

Naye Waziri Mwakyembe alisisitiza kuwa serekali haina ugomvi wowote na wanasana nchini bali ina tatizo na mmonyoko wa maadili ya kitanzania nchini na kwamba kila mwanasanaa ana wajibu kulinda maadili ambayo ni sehemu ya utamaduni wetu. (Diamond promised to work hand in hand with the Assistant minster Sonza to ensure that they don’t clash against in future. The Minster for Information Mwekyembe also stated that the government is not fighting artists but it’s just concerned with the culture of its people )” reads part of the statement
“Ndio balozi wetu, balozi wa maadili pia, kwa sababu Diamond utake usitake yeye ni balozi wa Tanzania kwa kila kitu na safari hii tumemuomba hata maadili awe balozi wetu, kwa sababu watu wengi wanamfuta Diamond, yeye ni Super Star na tunajivunia Watanzania. Nawaagiza watendaji wa Wizara na Taasisi zake ikiwemo BASATA, Bodi ya Filamu na TCRA, kuweka madaraja ya kazi zetu za sanaa, kuna kazi za sanaa ambazo kuonekana ni kuanzia saa sita hadi saa 12 asubuhi na hii inafanyika nchi nyingi ndio maana nimesema wakae na wenzetu,” the Minister said
