DJ Soxxy is one of the most non- controversial celebrities around but he recently wrought some controversy with a seemingly harmless thing; a jumpsuit and some dance moves.
The Gospel DJ recently hosted the Groove Awards and in an attempt to make the show a blast he brought in one of the hottest celebrities around, Aggie the Dance Queen from the ‘Short and Sweet’ video.
Some fans felt that as a Gospel DJ he shouldn’t mingle with people from the secular industry and should set a good example.
In his defence, DJ Soxxy said that he had consulted with pastors and they approved of his stint. “I actually consulted a number of pastors for advice before I did this stint. I don’t just get up on stage and do without soul-searching. Either way, thank you for the feedback. Much appreciated. Baraka.”
His explanation fell on deaf ears as his fellow Christians felt that he should have consulted the Holy Spirit instead of pastors.
@sunnywapeter wrote “I think that's where you went wrong. All you needed was to consult the Holy Spirit. The Bible says the Spirit will tell us everything we need to know. But you're welcome and keeping you in prayer.” With @gladykib adding “ Next time consult The Holy Spirit, Our Helper, not pastors...Come to think of it, why justify your actions by consulting pastors? Hata hao pastors wako are questionable. Nothing glorified God at all.”
However, it was not all doom and gloom as fellow celebrities congratulate him for this feat and urged him not to listen to the naysayers.
We have heard the opinions of the fans and fellow celebrities so what do you guys think. Are people blowing this stunt out of proportion? Sound off in the comment section below.
