Another NTV news anchor quits days after unveiling new team

Congratulations!

NTV business news anchor Hudheifa Aden has called it quits from the Nation Media Group’s NTV, days after they unveiled a new team.

In a post he shared on his Instagram page, Hudheifa announced his departure saying that he had an amazing three years working at the Aga Khan owned media house and he met wonderful people during the time.

“This marks the end of my journey at . I had an amazing 3 years there, largely because of the wonderful people I have had the opportunity to work with. Goodbyes are never easy and I wanted to take this opportunity to express how much I've enjoyed my time there, and more importantly, how much I value the friendship, wisdom and guidance I had received. It’s been an absolute privilege to be part of the team and I am grateful for the experiences and opportunities I had been given. I look forward to the next chapter of my Media journey. God bless,” read his post.

Mr. Aden becomes the latest casualty of a mass exodus of journalists from the Nation Media Group to rival TV stations after the likes of Nimrod Taabu, Victoria Rubadiri, Rashid Abdalla and Jamila Mohamed who moved to Citizen TV.

The business anchor is reportedly headed to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) where he will work alongside former NTV Trend host Larry Madowo, who moved to BBC as the Africa Business Editor.
