Boy Band Sauti Sol’s Bien Aime has for the first time addressed reports of dating Nigerian singer Yemi Alade.
Speaking during an interview on Clouds FM, the singer said that it was not true because Ms Yemi is like a sister to him.
He went on to say he is married to a Nigerian from the Igbo tribe in Nigeria and Yemi Alade is from the same tribe which makes her his sister.
He jokingly said that it was good that Tanzanians thought of him in such high regard, and that they should never think less of him.
“Yemi ni kama sister yangu, ni beshte yangu. Mimi mwenyewe bibi yangu ni mnaigeria nimeoa msichana M-igbo na pia Yemi ni M-igbo kwa hivyo nimemuoa dadke Yemi. Lakini nashukuru sana wabongo kwa kuniweka mimi kijana wa mtaa naweza nikaonekana na Yemi, naweza nikatoka na Yemi. Asanteni. Hapo mumeniweka msinishushe,” said Bien.
The question of him having a relationship with singer came after he admitted that he was the one who wrote Yemi Alade’s Swahili version of her hit song Na Gode.
Bien proposes
In February Bien Aime Baraza proposed to his longtime girlfriend Chiki Kuruka in a private affair that was graced by close friends and family members.
The singer went all out to make the day special and memorable as he hired a whole Cinema Hall to pop the big question and make things official.
The two love birds have been together for more than four years.
