Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed was handed a hostile reception at the 28th Edition of Koroga Festival after the crowd booed her off stage.

Amina, who had been invited on stage by Kui Kabala (main host) to speak to revelers, had a tough time, as none of the revellers seemed interested in her speech.

The unexpected turn out of events, forced the CS, to cut short her intended speech and just thank everybody who showed up at Koroga Festival before leaving the stage.

Hostile reception

A section of the crowd took to social media, to wonder why the CS wanted to address people in the middle of performances ( before M'bilia Bel could hit the stage).

Many argued that her decision to address the crowd was uncalled for, basing on the fact that, people graced Koroga Festival to be entertained and not lectured.

The Koroga Festival

Away from that, Congolese Soukous Master Kanda Bongo man and Queen of Congolese and African Rumba M'bilia Bel staged good performances at Koroga Festival.

Due to the heavy downpour that was witnessed in the Capital City on Saturday, day two of Koroga Festival was moved indoors to the main auditorium at the Bomas of Kenya.

The Iconic Kanda Bongo man gave a memorable 1 hour performance alongside his band that spiced up the night prompting Soukous lovers to sing along to most of his songs.

On the other hand, the Queen of Rhumba M'bilia Bel did not disappoint despite spending only 50 minutes on stage.

Others who performed include, Steve Kay, Emma Jalamo, Boondocks Gang, Nviiri the storyTeller, Ben soul, Rico Gang, Dj Dii, Dj Joe Kisila and DJ Joe Mfalme.
