Man robbed along Nairobi-Mombasa highway finds attackers working at police station

He was robbed of Sh390,000

A man, who was robbed and dumped along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway, was baffled to find his attackers manning the police desk when he went to report the incident.

According to Nairobi News, Jervason Musinga Kiendi claims the three men tried to block him from reporting the crime.

Kiendi stated that three men in a sedan seized him moments after he withdrew cash from a bank in Machakos on Friday.

They reportedly robbed him of Sh390,000 and dropped him in Konza.

When he went to report the incident at Machakos Police Station, he found two of his attackers manning the police desk.

The two then refused to book his complaint.

He returned to the station on Saturday only to find the third man who had allegedly attacked him.

The officer kept him waiting in the reports office for hours.

Salama Police Station

Kiendi then went to Salama Police Station in Makueni to report the incident.

In his statement from Salama Police Station, Kendi explained how he had spent Sh10,000 after withdrawing Sh400,000 from a bank in Machakos.

As he was walking to the referral hospital, a sedan with three male occupants stopped outside the hospital gate. The men then got him into the car, threatened to shoot him, took him to the Machakos-Konza Rd and dumped him after making away with Sh390,000.

A good samaritan offered Kiendi a lift to Machakos Police Station from where he was dumped.

The case has been referred to DCIO Machakos for investigations.

Machakos County police boss Samuel Mukinda said they had opened investigations into the claims.
